• We send you a list of each student and their profile  and you choose which child/children you want to sponsor
• The school budget for a child (school fees, boarding  fee, uniform  and all required necessities for a child) is 850$ per year
• The selection of child/children to be sponsored can be done in two ways
  • A sponsor/sponsors can choose from the list of children and their profile sent
  • Zara Charity can help choose on behalf of the sponsor/sponsors.
• Child/children to be sponsored is based on the following category
  • Child with one parent
  • Child with no parent (orphan)
  • Child with hardship in life
• Up to date, 7 out of 95 children have been sponsored.

• You can donate through Zara Charity or  directly to the Mount Kilimanjaro porters society
• You can help them with mountain gears so as to easy their hard work

sending you a comprehensive list of our students, complete with detailed profiles. From this
list, you’ll have the privilege of hand-picking the child or children you’d like to sponsor. This
personal choice allows you to establish a meaningful connection with the child, making your
sponsorship experience deeply fulfilling and personal.

The sponsorship commitment covers a range of essential expenses that ensure a child’s holistic
development and educational journey. This includes school fees, covering the cost of quality
education; boarding fees, providing a nurturing and safe environment for the child; uniforms,

ensuring they have proper attire for school; and all necessary necessities to support their well-
being. In total, the sponsorship cost per child per year is $850. By shouldering these expenses,

you’re not only enabling a child’s education but also empowering them with the tools and
resources they need to thrive academically and personally.

Zara Charity provides you with two distinct options for selecting the child or children you’d like
to sponsor:
Option 1: Personal Selection – We’ll send you a detailed list of children along with their profiles,
allowing you to peruse their stories and backgrounds. You have the freedom to choose the child
or children with whom you feel a special connection. Your choice reflects your commitment to
making a tangible difference in their lives, fostering a unique bond that transcends geographical
boundaries.

Option 2: Zara Charity Assistance – If you prefer, our dedicated team at Zara Charity is more
than willing to assist you in the selection process. We can carefully choose a child on your
behalf, ensuring that your sponsorship is directed to a child who is in genuine need and will
benefit significantly from your support. This option is a testament to our commitment to
matching your generosity with the most deserving recipients.

Child sponsorship through Zara Charity is a lifeline extended to those who need it the most
within the Maasai community. Eligible children typically fall into the following categories:
Child with One Parent: These children often face unique challenges due to the loss of one
parent. Your sponsorship provides them with the stability and support they need to navigate
life’s obstacles and pursue their dreams.
Child with No Parent (Orphan): Orphaned children are among the most vulnerable in the
